Airflow through the attic is vital to safely remove heat and moisture that otherwise may damage the roof and other structural parts of the building. Check that vents are unobstructed, and decide if more roof vents are required.

Inspect Potential Trouble Spots

Eaves, valleys, skylights and low-slope areas all require special attention. Should old skylights be replaced? Determine if wall, chimney and valley flashing need to be replaced.

Hire the Right Contractor

A professional contractor will guide you through these and all the other steps on the way to getting  a beautiful, durable and waterproof roof. Ask about the warranty, make sure the company has insurance and check the firm's reputation with friends, relatives and previous customers.
